Living with chronic pain can be a complex, personal isolating experience that produces uncomfortable physical sensations and impacts our mental and emotional well being. It is currently widely recognized that chronic pain is a stress state with a strong body – mind connection, whether the origin is physical, emotional or traumatic. Yoga is a beautiful tool to explore the mind body aspect with gentle practices of movement, breath, and visualization that can empower one to end their suffering by soothing the nervous system and mind to alter the perception of pain.
